Hike one of New Zealand’s legendary Great Walks, the Abel Tasman Coast Track, where crystal-clear waters, golden sands, and emerald forest create an unforgettable coastal experience. Begin in Wellington before crossing Cook Strait and spending time in Nelson, including a picturesque cycle along the Nelson–Mapua Cycleway, sampling local flavours along the way. Set out on the first day of your walk towards Awaroa, enjoying secluded bays and sweeping coastal views. Day two reveals increasingly dramatic scenery as you continue to Torrent Bay. On your final walking day, cross private beaches and forested headlands as you return to Nelson. After completing the track, unwind in the soothing waters of Maruia Thermal Pools before boarding the TranzAlpine Scenic Plus service, travelling through the Southern Alps to Christchurch for a relaxed conclusion to your adventure.
